Lumière Lyon 2

The Lumière Lyon 2 University focuses on a strong and rigorous vision of higher education and research, driven by a spirit and values that are also its hallmark: humanist, open and committed. Located in the heart of the Metropolis of Lyon, it is one of the few universities to offer such a wide spectrum of disciplines: human and social sciences, humanities, law, economics and management. It hosts nearly 29,000 students and 1,800 staff (teachers and administrative staff) on 2 main campuses (Berges du Rhône and Porte des Alpes) and 3 complementary sites (Rachais, Ecully and Le Vinatier). Its varied training courses are aimed at all audiences and it combines openness and success for as many people as possible. Through its research programmes, its numerous partnerships and its actions to disseminate knowledge, it fully participates in social progress and strives to promote professional integration. Openness to the world is a major challenge and it is addressing it by offering diplomas and research activities in international partnership and by encouraging student mobility.
